The same release says the deposit program opened "As of December 26" via Anycubic's official store: customers could place a US$10 deposit, "which will be applied as a US$30 discount toward the final purchase price at checkout."

Shipping ran late for some early buyers. Anycubic's shipping update page says "Shipping timelines slipped" and gives the reason for the Combo: "The Kobra X Combo set includes ACE 2 Pro, which experienced a production delay in January." The same page lists a second US batch for the standalone Kobra X (orders from Feb. 25) with a US warehouse shipping window of April 1 to April 10.
Kobra X price in the US on October 17, 2026
Anycubic runs a dedicated US store (us.anycubic3d.com) and a global store (store.anycubic.com), both in US dollars. The global store shows the banner "U.S. customers can now shop on our dedicated US store for local pricing, shipping, and support." The Combo was priced differently on the two stores on October 17.

The US product pages show "Free Express Shipping" and "Tax excluded. Actual tax rate varies by region." Both US pages also sell each printer with 4 kg of a named filament type: $345 to $379 for the Kobra X and $615 to $649 for the Kobra X Combo, depending on the type.
Anycubic's pages do not state a US launch price. Tom's Hardware, in a review published February 5, 2026, reported an MSRP of $399 and a $279 early bird pre-sale price from January 15 to February 28, with an initial ship date of March 25 to April 5, 2026 (reported, not from Anycubic).
Kobra X vs Kobra X Combo: what the Combo adds
The two are the same printer. The Kobra X lists "4-Color Built-in & 19-Color Maximum": four filament channels sit in the print head itself, which Anycubic calls ACE GEN2. Its press release says the design "integrates four filament channels directly into the printhead" and describes the Kobra X as an "open-frame, single-nozzle multicolor printer".
The Combo adds one ACE 2 Pro, an external filament box, and Anycubic counts that as 7 colors. More ACE 2 Pro units raise the count to 11 or 19. The product FAQ says "Start with 4-color printing. By combining four ACE 2 Pro to achieve 19-color printing." The ACE 2 Pro also dries filament: the standalone Kobra X lists active drying as "Not Supported, requires ACE 2 Pro", while the Combo lists "Supported, drying temperature up to 65°C". The ACE 2 Pro sold alone for $249 ($329 reference) on the US store on October 17. The FAQ adds that "Kobra X does not support ACE Pro." (the first-generation unit).

On the nozzle, the FAQ says "Kobra X comes pre-installed with a 0.4mm hardened steel nozzle." and "It also supports optional 0.25mm brass and 0.6mm / 0.8mm hardened steel nozzles." (The spec list on the same page names hardened steel without singling out the 0.25 mm size.) Anycubic's US store sold replacement nozzles for the Kobra X series at $15.99 each in 0.25, 0.4, 0.6 and 0.8 mm on October 17, and a complete Kobra X printhead assembly at $90. Both product pages point to the Anycubic Wiki for the replacement steps; the nozzle page says "Please learn about the replacements on Anycubic Wiki". We could not read the wiki (see below).
Kobra X vs Kobra 4
Anycubic's Kobra 4 Combo launch page names the print head as the main difference: "Kobra 4 Combo does not feature ACE GEN 2." and "Kobra X Combo supports up to 19 colors." (the Kobra 4 Combo is listed at up to 8). The single-color Kobra 4 lists multicolor printing as "Requires ACE 2 Pro", while the Kobra X has four colors without any add-on. Print volume, listed speeds, nozzle temperature, bed temperature, nozzle options and the 720P camera are the same in Anycubic's tables. For dates and prices of the Kobra 4, see our Anycubic Kobra 4 record.

What we could not confirm
- The early bird dates and $279 price from Anycubic itself. Anycubic's Kobra X launch page addresses on its US and global stores now redirect to the product page, and its UK store's launch page could not be read; the figures above are as reported by Tom's Hardware. A 3DPrinting.com article on the early bird campaign returned an access error (403) and was not read.
- The exact dates of Formnext 2025. The press release names the show and Frankfurt but not the dates.
- The year on Anycubic's shipping update page. Its tables show months and days only; the page says it was last updated in May 2026 and its notes are dated April 2026.
- When the current $299 and $569 US prices started and when they end. The product data shows only today's price and a reference price, and we did not use web archives.
- Anycubic's nozzle replacement steps for the Kobra X. The product pages link to wiki.anycubic.com, which our tools could not reach (its robots.txt could not be read), so we did not read it.
- Why the global store also lists a second Kobra X product at $349 (Kobra X Combo $569), published May 28, 2026 (UTC+8). We report it as seen.
