On October 17, 2026, Elegoo's US store listed the Centauri Carbon 2 at $349 (crossed-out price $359) and the Centauri Carbon 2 Combo, which adds the 4-color CANVAS unit, at $399 (crossed-out price $449). Elegoo launched the Combo on January 26, 2026 at a retail price of $449. Bambu Lab's US store listed the P2S at $549 and the P1S at $399 the same day.

Centauri Carbon 2 lineup and US prices on October 17, 2026
Elegoo sells the Centauri Carbon 2 in four new-printer listings on its US store. The plain Centauri Carbon 2 is marked "Multicolor Upgrade Ready" with "(CANVAS sold separately)". The Combo includes CANVAS; its "What's in the Box" list includes four spool holder modules, a filament hub, a CANVAS mounting bracket and a thermal cover.

Bought separately, the printer ($349) and the CANVAS with cover ($150) add up to $499, which is $100 more than the Combo's $399. Elegoo's CANVAS page recommends the version with cover for the Centauri Carbon 2 when printing high-temperature materials such as ABS, ASA, PC and carbon fiber-reinforced filaments, and lists both versions as compatible with the Centauri Carbon 2.

Elegoo's January 26 release says "Centauri Carbon 2 Combo's retail price is set at $ 449 USD" and lists the USA among its shipping countries. The Combo's US price on October 17 was $50 (11%) below that launch price. The emoji edition was $40 below its $489 launch price.
Centauri 2 vs Centauri Carbon 2: two different printers
The names differ by one word. The Centauri 2 series, announced on June 24, 2026, is an open-frame printer: Elegoo's release describes it as "featuring open-frame design and multicolor CANVAS system". The Centauri Carbon 2 has an enclosed chamber. Both use the same CANVAS add-on and the same 256 mm cube build volume.

Centauri Carbon 2 vs Bambu Lab P2S and P1S: specs and US prices
All three printers list a 256 × 256 × 256 mm build volume. The table uses each company's own specification pages and the prices in each US store's product data on October 17. It does not rate print quality.

On October 17 the Centauri Carbon 2 was $50 below the P1S and $200 below the P2S as printers only. With a multicolor unit, the Combo was $150 below the P1S AMS Combo and $350 below the P2S Combo. Bambu Lab announced the P2S on October 14, 2025 with European prices; its blog says "The introduction of the P2S does not mark by any means the discontinuation of the P1S model". Tom's Hardware reported on November 27, 2025 that US sales had opened at $549, and $799 with the AMS 2 Pro. On October 17 the P2S Combo listed at $749. Shipping from Elegoo's US store
- Elegoo's shipping policy, shown on the product pages, gives 3 to 7 business days for in-stock orders shipped within the US.
- Standard shipping is free on orders of $50 or more to the 48 contiguous states and Washington, D.C.
- Printers can ship to Hawaii, with the cost calculated at checkout. The policy says Elegoo does not ship to Alaska, US territories, P.O. boxes or APO/FPO addresses.
What we could not confirm
- The date the Centauri Carbon 2 without CANVAS went on sale in the US, and its launch price. We found no Elegoo press release for it on PR Newswire or on Elegoo's US news blog. Its store listing shows $359 as the crossed-out price; we do not treat that as a launch price.
- How long the October 17 sale prices last. The product pages show no end date.
- The current Centauri Carbon 2 firmware version and its release notes. Elegoo publishes the printer's firmware source code on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license, but we found no official version history. Elegoo's wiki could not be read by our tools.
- The sensor count. The Centauri Carbon 2 product page says 18 smart sensors; the January 26 release says 19 in the main body plus 12 in CANVAS, and the Combo page says 31.
- Bambu Lab's official US launch prices for the P2S. Bambu's announcement gives euro prices only; the US figures above are as reported.
