CJ270 US price, packages and resin costs
Flashforge's US store shows "Sale price $3,999.00 USD" and "Regular price $4,499.00 USD", a $500 difference. The pre-order FAQ says orders placed from September 9 to October 15 (Pacific Time) receive the pre-order price. Flashforge has not said in writing what price applies after October 15.
Two optional add-ons are sold alongside the printer, and Flashforge sells its own resin in 1 kg and 10 kg packs. The CJ270 accepts only Flashforge materials: the FAQ says "Third-party materials are not supported and may damage the printer."
| Item | US price | What Flashforge says it includes |
|---|---|---|
| CJ270 printer | $3,999 (regular $4,499) | Pre-order price for orders placed September 9 to October 15 (PT) |
| CJ270 Early Bird Package | $49 | One full-color sample printed from one eligible customer model; 24 kg of resin over 12 months (2 kg per month) for buyers of a CJ270; limited to 1,000 participants |
| CJ270 Application Support Package | $999 | Everything in the Early Bird Package, plus dedicated application support |
| CJ270 Full-Color Resin, 1 kg pack | $69.90 | Ten 100 g cartridges: 1 cyan, 1 magenta, 1 yellow, 1 black, 2 white, 1 clear, 3 support |
| CJ270 Full-Color Resin, 10 kg pack | $499.00 | One hundred 100 g cartridges |
Some arithmetic on those official prices:
- The 10 kg pack works out to $49.90 per kg, $20.00 (28.6%) less per kg than the 1 kg pack.
- Three of the ten cartridges in each pack are support material, so 300 g of every 1 kg pack is support resin.
- Flashforge describes the Early Bird Package's resin as "24 kg of resin worth over $1,500". At the 1 kg pack price, 24 kg would cost $1,677.60; at the 10 kg pack price, $1,197.60.
- The printer plus the Early Bird Package totals $4,048, and the printer plus the Application Support Package totals $4,998, before tax and any shipping charge.
The pre-order FAQ also says that customers who bought a CJ270 before the Early Bird Package benefits were updated can keep their original benefits or switch to the updated $49 package. The page does not list what the original benefits were.
CJ270 release date and shipping schedule
- September 9, 2026: orders opened. Flashforge's press release says the CJ270 "is available to order through Flashforge.com starting at 12:00 AM PT on September 9, 2026."
- September 14, 2026: Flashforge announced the launch in a press release datelined New York.
- October 15, 2026: the first 100 units are scheduled to ship by air, and the pre-order period ends. Flashforge's FAQ says "The CJ270 pre-order runs from September 9 to October 15 (Pacific Time)".
- After October 15: later orders ship by air in order of purchase. The product page says "Order now for estimated delivery by mid-November. Ships by air."
- Transit: "Estimated delivery time is approximately 1 week for the United States and 2 weeks for Europe after shipment."
- Resin benefit: Flashforge says the first monthly 2 kg resin shipment for Early Bird Package buyers is expected around November.
The FAQ says orders that have not shipped can be canceled for a refund through customer service, and the printer can be returned within 30 days of delivery under Flashforge's return policy. On import costs, Flashforge's shipping policy says it uses DDP terms for the United States: "Flashforge will cover the import duties, taxes, and VAT for you." The same page adds: "You only need to pay the listed price and shipping rate." The CJ270 pages do not state a shipping charge for the air-shipped pre-orders.

What Flashforge says the CJ270 is not for
Flashforge positions the CJ270 for full-color visual models such as figurines, character models and prototypes that show color. Its resin FAQ says "we do not recommend using CJ270 prints as functional prototypes or load-bearing parts." Unopened materials have an 18-month shelf life, and Flashforge recommends using opened materials within 2 months.
Flashforge's US store lists no earlier full-color model to compare against. Its other current US printers are filament (FDM) machines: the Creator 5, Creator 5 Pro, AD5X and Adventurer 5M series. For the other printers launched in 2026 and their US prices, see our 2026 release dates and prices tracker.
What we could not confirm
- The price after October 15, 2026. The store shows a $4,499 regular price, but Flashforge has not said in writing that it takes effect when the pre-order period ends.
- Whether the first 100 units have shipped. The scheduled date, October 15, 2026, had not arrived when we checked.
- The shipping charge, if any, for air-shipped pre-orders. The product page, pre-order FAQ and shipping policy page do not state one for the CJ270.
- The original Early Bird benefits offered before the package was updated. The FAQ refers to them but does not list them.
- A date for the Wi-Fi update beyond "later this year".
- The cost of resin per printed model. Flashforge publishes pack prices but no per-model consumption figures.
