SPARKX i8 US price: every figure Creality has published

Creality's launch press release gives two numbers: a $289 super early-bird price and a $399 MSRP. It describes the $289 tier this way: "Super early-bird price: $289, with very limited availability, increasing to $399 when super early-bird slots are sold out."

Creality's own pages also advertise a smaller early-bird discount. The campaign page says "Early Bird Price — Save Up to 23%", and the banner on Creality's US store reads "Get the Early Bird Offer and Save 23%". The US store's SPARKX i8 listing is marked sold out, points buyers to Indiegogo, and carries a price of $309 in its product data. $309 is $90, or 22.6%, below the $399 MSRP; $289 is $110, or 27.6%, below it.

The Indiegogo campaign page could not be read (it returned HTTP 403 to our reader), so current Indiegogo tiers are not included.

The press release and the store do not match on what happens after the $289 tier sells out: the release says the price goes to $399, while the store and campaign page advertise an early-bird saving of up to 23%. We could not see the live tier list on Indiegogo to settle which price applies today.

SPARKX i8 release date and shipping window

There are three dates on the official record so far.

  • September 5, 2026: Creality unveiled the K3 and SPARKX i8 at IFA Berlin.
  • September 21, 2026: the Indiegogo campaign opened. Creality's campaign page says "$1M+ Backed in Just 40 Minutes".
  • October to November 2026: Creality's press release says "Orders are scheduled to ship from factories in October, with delivery expected in November", varying by region and Q4 logistics.

Creality has not published a date for regular retail sales after the campaign. On creality.com, the SPARKX i8 menu entry links to the Indiegogo campaign rather than to a store product page.

The US store's SPARKX i8 page also shows an "Estimated Shipping Date" line. The same line, with the same dates, appears on other Creality store products, so we do not treat it as an i8 delivery date.

What is new versus the SPARKX i7

The SPARKX i7 debuted at CES in January 2026 and is the previous model in Creality's SPARKX line. Both share a 260 × 260 × 255 mm build volume, 500 mm/s top speed and 300 °C hotend. The main change is where the four filament channels live: the i8 integrates them into one toolhead, which Creality calls QuarTeks. The i7 prints in four colors only with an external CFS unit (CFS Lite or CFS Nano).

On paper, the i8 is 3 mm narrower and 0.6 kg heavier than the i7. Its MSRP of $399 is $50 above the i7 Color Combo, the i7 package that includes a four-slot CFS Lite. Other 2026 launches and their US prices are listed in our 2026 release dates and prices tracker.

Creality's performance claims

We do not test printers. These are Creality's own statements, not measured results:

  • The press release says the i8 switches color channels "in less than 1 second" through a shared filament path of less than 1 mm.
  • Creality says a four-color test tower with 3,000 color switches finished in about 18 hours, which it describes as 500% faster than printers with an external feed system.
  • Creality says that with optimal slicing settings, external purge waste can fall to 0 g, with a footnote that a small amount of filament is still flushed at the start of a print.

What we could not confirm

  • The current Indiegogo tier list and prices, including any combo bundle. Indiegogo returned HTTP 403 to our reader, so we did not read the campaign page. Creality's campaign page mentions "the Combo" but gives no price or contents.
  • Whether the $289 super early-bird tier is still open, and whether the next price is $309 or $399 (see the price section above).
  • The date the Indiegogo campaign closes. It is not stated in the press releases or on Creality's own pages we read.
  • A regular retail release date or retail price after the campaign. Creality's US store listing is marked sold out.
  • Warranty terms for units bought through Indiegogo. We looked at the press releases, the campaign page and the US store listing.
