Snapmaker U1 US price and release record: $749 on October 16, 2026, and Top Cover pre-orders shipping October 25-30

Snapmaker's US store listed the Snapmaker U1 at $749 on October 16, 2026, against a $999 compare-at price. The U1 first sold through a Kickstarter campaign that opened on August 19, 2025; Snapmaker's store now ships it from a US warehouse. The optional Top Cover is a separate $149 pre-order, shown as shipping from the US warehouse on October 25-30.

Snapmaker U1 US price: every figure Snapmaker has published

Snapmaker has used at least six price points for the U1 in US dollars since 2025. The store's product data on October 16, 2026 gave one variant, "Snapmaker U1 3D Printer", at $749.00 with a compare-at price of $999.00, marked available. Snapmaker's US store also lists the U1 at $749 on its Halloween Sale page. None of the Snapmaker pages we read gave an end date for the $749 price.

The March 25, 2026 post lists the two prices this way: "Pre-order price: $849/€849 (available until April 10th)" and "Regular price: $899/€899 (starting April 10th)". The Kickstarter prices of $749 and $799 included the printer with four toolheads and four 500 g rolls of Snapmaker SnapSpeed PLA, and did not include the cover or hardened steel hotends, according to the Deposit FAQ.

The US product page advertises a 30-day price match: "Get the price difference as a Gift Card if the price drops within 30 days." The policy page says it applies only to orders placed through Snapmaker's official online store, not Amazon or other resellers.

Snapmaker U1 release date in the US

The U1 reached US buyers in two stages: a crowdfunding campaign in 2025, then regular sales from Snapmaker's own store.

Snapmaker's 2025 recap gives the campaign's final total: "We came away with $20,614,548 USD from 20,680 backers by the end of the campaign." The same post says: "In the second half of the year, U1 entered mass production and delivery began worldwide." The Deposit FAQ said orders to the United States would be shipped from China to a local warehouse and then delivered.

For the printer itself, the US product page now lists delivery from a US warehouse: 1-2 business days to dispatch and 2-7 business days to deliver after dispatch for the 48 states, Alaska and Hawaii, and 15-30 business days after dispatch for AE, AP, GU and PR addresses. The page shows free shipping for the U1.

Snapmaker U1 Top Cover: price and ship date

Snapmaker sells the U1's enclosure separately as the "Top Cover for Snapmaker U1"; the U1 product page calls it optional. For the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Japan and Korea, the same FAQ gives November 15-30, 2026.

Snapmaker U1 specs: build volume, dimensions and toolheads

One line on the product page's second specification table lists "Build Volume" as 584 × 499 × 730 mm. That figure matches the printer's outer dimensions; the first table on the same page gives the build volume as 270 × 270 × 270 mm. Snapmaker's August 2025 Kickstarter post gave a max print speed of 300 mm/s and a travel speed of 500 mm/s; the store now lists 500 mm/s as the max toolhead speed.

Snapmaker U1 vs Bambu Lab P2S vs Flashforge Creator 5

All three are listed on their makers' US stores in the same price range. The P2S changes colors through a single nozzle (the P2S Combo includes Bambu Lab's AMS 2 Pro); the U1 and the Creator 5 each have four toolheads. The table repeats each maker's own spec labels; speed figures are not measured the same way by each brand.

What we could not confirm

  • When the US price moved from $849 to $749, and whether $749 is a limited-time price. Our readings on October 11 and October 16, 2026 bracket the change; the U1 product page, the Halloween Sale page and the deals page we read on October 16 give no end date for the U1 price.
  • Whether all Snapmaker warehouses had the U1 in stock on April 10, 2026, as the March 25 post announced. We found no later Snapmaker post confirming it; the US page now lists dispatch from a US warehouse in 1-2 business days.
  • The date Snapmaker's US store first took U1 orders. The store's product record is dated October 14, 2025, but that is a listing date, not a stated order date.
  • Figures on the Kickstarter campaign page itself. Kickstarter returned an access error (403) to our request, so we used Snapmaker's own posts.
  • Kickstarter backer delivery dates for the United States. Snapmaker's 2025 recap says only that delivery began in the second half of 2025.
  • Prices for Top Cover replacement filters, which Snapmaker says will be available soon.
  • Amazon or other reseller prices. We recorded only Snapmaker's own US store.
