Flashforge Creator 5 Pro release date: what Flashforge has published

Flashforge has not published a single "release date" for the Creator 5 series on the pages we read. The dated records are the trade-show press release, the store's product data and two later blog posts.

The press release opens: "TCT Asia 2026 concluded at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai." It describes the Creator 5 as having four independent extruders and says it "can switch colors in just seven seconds." It describes the Creator 5 Pro as adding a fully enclosed, temperature-controlled chamber. The release gives no US price or ship date.

Flashforge's July 31, 2026 post on the Creator 5 Series Early Bird promotion says "one winner was selected for every 100 eligible orders" during the launch period, with each winner receiving a Flashforge gift card worth $649 in the United States. The post does not give the dates of the promotion or the launch prices.

Flashforge Creator 5 price and Creator 5 Pro price in the US

On October 17, 2026 the US store's product data gave one variant for each printer: "Creator 5" at $699.00 with a compare-at price of $799.00, and "Creator 5 Pro" at $849.00 with a compare-at price of $949.00, both available. The product pages show the same figures as "Sale price" and "Regular price", with "Save $100.00". Flashforge's Creator 5 Series page shows both printers under "$100 OFF". None of these pages gives an end date for the $100 reduction.

Our 2026 release dates tracker read the same $699 and $849 on October 11, 2026, and Flashforge's own July 5, 2026 comparison post shows $699.00 and $849.00 next to $799.00 and $949.00.

Flashforge Creator 5 Pro vs Creator 5: the differences

Flashforge's FAQ on both product pages says the two printers share four independent toolheads, hardened-steel nozzles, automatic leveling and the same build volume. The Pro adds an enclosed build chamber, active chamber heating up to 65°C, HEPA 13 and activated-carbon filtration, auxiliary cooling, and door and top-cover detection. On whether a Creator 5 can be converted, the FAQ says the Pro's "active chamber heating system is built into the machine itself" and cannot simply be added later.

The Creator 5's specification table also has a line "Supported Filaments with Enclosure" listing ABS, ASA and other engineering filaments, even though the Creator 5 is open-frame. Its FAQ says an owner can print or build an enclosure around a Creator 5 for passive heat retention, which Flashforge says is not the same as the Pro's actively controlled chamber heating. We found no enclosure kit among the Creator 5 Series accessories listed in the US store's sitemap.

The Pro's FAQ says its standard configuration does not include an automatic multi-spool filament feeder: "Filament must be manually loaded into each toolhead." The Creator 5 page does not address automatic loading.

Flashforge Creator 5 Pro nozzle: sizes, temperature and replacements

Both printers ship with a 0.4 mm nozzle as standard, according to the specification tables, which also list 0.25 mm, 0.6 mm and 0.8 mm. Flashforge's FAQ describes the nozzles as hardened steel and rated to 320°C. The "Nozzle Assembly for Creator 5 Series" sold on the US store comes in four variants, each labeled 320°C: 0.25 mm and 0.8 mm at $39.90, and 0.4 mm and 0.6 mm at $35.00 on October 17, 2026. The specification tables mark the nozzle as removable.

On the Creator 5's FAQ, Flashforge lists TPU-90A, TPU-95A and TPU-64D as supported and says: "TPU softer than 90A is not currently included in the official compatibility list".

Flashforge Creator 5 Pro vs Snapmaker U1: official specs side by side

All three printers use four toolheads that the printer swaps during a print. The table repeats each maker's own spec labels; speed figures are not measured the same way by each brand, and we do not test or rate print results. For the U1's price history and Top Cover ship dates, see our Snapmaker U1 US price and release record.

Official specifications and US store prices; no test results or ratings. The seven-second figure comes from Flashforge's March 24, 2026 press release, which states it for the Creator 5; the Creator 5 Pro product page does not give a toolhead change time. Checked 2026-10-17. Sources: Flashforge US store (Creator 5, Creator 5 Pro), Flashforge press release, Snapmaker US store (U1, Top Cover).

Snapmaker's page states the U1 swaps "one complete toolhead for another in just 5 seconds". Snapmaker lists PLA, PETG, TPU, PVA and PCTG without the cover, and adds PET, ABS, ASA, PA and PC with the optional Top Cover. Flashforge's other recent launch, the full-color CJ270, is recorded separately: Flashforge CJ270 price and release date.

What we could not confirm

  • The date the first Creator 5 or Creator 5 Pro orders shipped to US buyers. The product pages, the Creator 5 Series page, the two blog posts and the press release we read do not state it.
  • Launch or reservation prices. Some news coverage describes lower launch prices and a deposit for early reservations; we could not read those articles (they returned an access error, 403) and found no Flashforge page that still states those figures. Flashforge's Early Bird post gives only the $649 US gift card value, not a printer price.
  • The dates of the Creator 5 Series Early Bird promotion. Flashforge's winner post does not give them.
  • The exact dates of the TCT Asia 2026 show. The press release says only that the show had concluded by March 24, 2026.
  • Flashforge's shipping policy page, which robots.txt does not allow us to fetch. We did not record shipping costs or delivery times.
  • The firmware base of the Creator 5 series. The product pages do not name it; Flashforge's download page lists firmware 1.9.9-1.3.0 for both models.
  • The Pro's size without the filament tube and holders (441 × 411 × 460 mm) is listed as lower in height than the open-frame Creator 5 (436 × 432 × 480 mm). We report both figures as Flashforge lists them.
  • Prices at Amazon or other resellers. We recorded only Flashforge's and Snapmaker's own US stores.
